Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world.
Steps:
- Go to geocaching.com to create a free account and search geocaches hidden worldwide.
- Use your smartphone app or GPS to navigate to the cache. To get started, create a free geocaching account and download the official Geocaching® app or use a GPS device.
- Keep an eye out so you can spy the cache’s camouflaged hiding place.
- Once you find the cache, sign the logbook, exchange one item and put everything back you found it.
- Follow the most basic rule of geocaching, Leave No Trace during your hunt.
